Training Tips for the Hard Gainer

If you're about to start a new workout regime in order to get the physique of your dreams, you'll need to stick to it from start to finish. Even the slightest lapse could undo days, weeks or even a few months' work, which for any aspiring bodybuilder or athlete can be distressing to say the least. This is certainly the case for ‘Hard Gainers' – people who bulk up in order to build their body mass in order to have a muscular body that the best professional bodybuilders have.

As one of the most intensive forms of exercise, hard gainers who want to get their ideal body have to perform some intense routines in order to reach their goals. If you're thinking of becoming a hard gainer, or want to improve your training, here are some handy tips that you might want to follow:

  • Take the right supplements. If you're looking to gain weight in a controlled way, there are a range of supplementsthat could help you on your way towards getting the best possible body after hard gaining. Additionally go for products that have high calorie content but are made with natural ingredients.

  • As for exercise, you should perform tasks such as the ‘Push Pull Legs' routine. This involves a combination of deadlifts, chin-ups, bench presses, dumbbell lifts and presses and leg and calf presses. Performed over three days, the first day focuses on pulling exercises where five sets of five reps of three different exercises are done, while the second is centred on pushing and the third on your legs.

  • Exercise every day. It may sound like a no-brainer, but repeatedly working out will help you to achieve the results you're looking for.

  • Train as hard as you can. The more effort you put into each workout, the more likely you are to gain the muscle mass you desire, meaning you could be rewarded with a great body.

  • After lifting a set amount, if you're used to it, try and up that amount gradually. This will increase your strength over time, which in turn will improve your ability to work out.

  • If you're bored, shake things up in a while by changing the template around. This will help to keep you focused.

  • Make sure you eat plenty of food. Protein and carbohydrate-rich foods along with supplements are ideal to help build up your strength for your next daily workout.

  • Allow yourself plenty of recovery time. This will enable you to feel ready for the next time you work out.
